Product Manager

We are looking for a Product Manager to take ownership of the Whiffle Wind and Whiffle Atlas product line. In this role, you connect market needs, customer value and technology whilst working closely with scientists, engineers and the commercial team to drive the product strategy, roadmap and commercial success of our wind forecasting solutions.

Whiffle is a growing technology scale-up delivering high-resolution weather forecasting solutions based in Delft. We are transforming numerical weather prediction by using advanced computing technology to run one of the world’s highest-resolution operational weather models. The role

In this role you are the focal point where product and market meet. You have end-to-end responsibility for the Whiffle Wind product line, including its commercial success (P&L), positioning and long-term strategy.

You translate market needs and customer value into a clear product vision and roadmap, while ensuring technical, operational and organisational feasibility. In this role, you work closely with all departments at Whiffle and act as the internal and external ambassador of the product. This role suits someone who understands the renewable energy domain, communicates effectively and takes end-to-end responsibility.

Other key responsibilities are:

• Conduct market research and stay up to date on regulatory, market, scientific and technical developments

• Develop a deep understanding of customer needs through interviews, workshops and industry events

• Define product positioning (functionality, pricing, competitive landscape) and align on targets for order intake, revenue and costs

• Define and maintain the product vision, strategy and roadmap in collaboration with management

• Align with technical and operational teams on roadmap execution, delivery, support and quality

• Collaborate with Marketing & Sales on sales materials, sales training and the operational marketing calendar

• Support our accountmanagers in customer meetings and represent Whiffle at conferences and trade shows

• Monitor product performance and financial results, and manage the product life cycle

• Act as the internal point of contact for all questions related to the Whiffle Wind product line

What you bring

• BSc or MSc in Renewable Energy, Engineering, Atmospheric Sciences, Physics, Computer Science, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience

• Understanding of the renewable energy market and weather modelling

• Several years of experience in a B2B product management role within a technical (SaaS) or data-driven environment, preferably in the (renewable) energy or weather services domain.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; able to bridge business, science and technology

• Comfortable taking ownership and making decisions, while working collaboratively

• Strong presentation skills, both internally and externally

• Pragmatic, structured and result-oriented
