We have an awesome Account Manager job for you with clients in the Netherlands, Europe and sometimes America! We are Whiffle a scale-up in Delft and our innovative weather prediction model delivers benefits in many economic sectors. Our primary focus are companies in the wind energy sector in Europe. That means that you regularly visit (potential) customers in other countries! You will be responsible from the first contact with a lead until the final signing of the contract. We have a unique product and we have a big growth ambition, that means a lot of opportunities for you as a accountmanager! You will be our first accountmanager alongside the experienced head of sales, Victor. At the beginning you are focused on cold acquisition and you are building your own portfolio. With the aim to schedule your own business meetings were you and your colleague(s) will go to. You’ll approach potential customers by phone, e-mail and LinkedIn. From the product-market combinations, a list is made of which companies you can approach. But you also have all the freedom to follow your own sales strategy.

Beside you and your colleagues will visit trade fairs and events in Europe and America. Sometimes companies in the energy sector also know how to find Whiffle and approach us with the question what we can do for them. The customer often wants to know what our weather forecast data looks like and you know how to translate our product into commercial benefits for the customer. You know how to bring these leads into customers and building a relationship with them.

You have around 10 different projects with potential customers running every month. With your sales and communication skills you know how to properly guide and manage the sales process (for the record, we use Pipedrive). You work closely with our operations- and innovation colleagues to deliver the right material to the customer at the right time, such as expert information and presentations about our product.

Whiffle is revolutionizing numerical weather prediction by using cutting-edge computing technology to run the world's highest resolution operational weather model. Job requirements


You have around 3 to 5 years of experience and you know all about sales. With your energy and communication skills you know how to convert leads into customers. A bachelor/hbo degree is not a hard requirement, your sales experience and your drive is much more important. For you it is easy to connect with people and you are a hunter to get in new customers. You love it to go to the meetings you arranged, in most cases together with your colleague(s). These meetings will be in countries in Europe and sometimes in America. So you are flexibel to fly or go by train to these leads and customers and you have the ability to communicate fluently in both Dutch and English. Our organization is growing, not everything has been figured out yet, so flexibility, creativity and responsibility is expected. You are assertive and if you need something, you know how to ask for it. We will learn you all about our product so far it’s necessary, with your natural curiosity you can quickly acquire this knowledge and provide customers with the right information. To stay connected and learn from your colleagues, it is important that you live in the Netherlands to join us in our office in Delft.
